I was following Atkins' suggestion - eat when hungry, stop when full. I was
not counting calories. I don't believe I was in any sort of caloric deficit.
I would estimate I was eating 3500 - 4000 calories per day, based on
portions I've been eating while watching calories compared to just counting
carbs with no attention to calories.

level at before? What was your carb level at before?
Like I said, calorie levels were an estimated 3500 - 4000 per day. Carb
level was 20 grams and still is.

(you'd look better, be stronger, more muscle means you can eat more food,
as muscle burns calories, etc.). I'd say that you should start lifting
weight and doing some daily cardio - walking or stationary bike riding.
I lifted for 4 months, but was turned off by the gain of 'bulk'. I was
gaining muscle, but it was concealed by the remaining fat.

This is a concern of mine, and the reason for the last 20lbs I'd like to
lose. Like I said, I put on muscle already, between 210 and my current
weight, and didn't like the results. I'd like to try reducing body fat as
much as I can, and then continue the weight training.
Thanks for the insight
