This is simply a historically illogical statement. Many of the popular
alternative practices in fact historically came from the medical
theories of allopathy.

Excuse me, Bud but in 19 medicals schools Orthopaths are currently
being educated as MDs. And, Orthopaths are allowed to practice
medicine in all 50 of the states in the the US.

I think that all of these comments were half-ass backwards.

Just my opinion, but I am right as usual. :)

Umm, I think maybe you are confusing "orthopaths" with "osteopaths".

Yep, the irrationality of the post did in fact get me a bit confused.
:(

>From my web site:

"1822{Natural Hygiene}Isaac Jennings, MD (1788-1874) is known as the
Father of Natural Hygiene. Jennings received his medical degree from
Yale University. After about 15 years of allopathic practice Jennings
founded Orthopathy, Greek for truth in disease. Believing symptoms of
illness was nature's way of purifying the body, he advocated solely
hygienic nursing and comfort, rather than the use of drug medication
treatments. Jennings was famous for treating his patients with placebo
pills made from bread. He wrote three books, Medicine Reform (1847),
Philosophy of Human Life (1852) and Tree of Life (1867). He founded and
published the Water Cure Journal and Herald of Reform."

Outside of a few kooks, Orthopathy lasted only for a few years in the
19th century. Most rational people, refer to what it developed into:
Natural Hygiene.

Natural Hygiene outside of a few Quacky Diet Books is completely dead.
It seems that people kept on dying during supervised fasts at Shelton's
college. After the 8th person died, Shelton's college was finally sued
into bankruptcy.

Anybody claiming to practice Natural Hygiene today is either in the 100
year old range or a Quack with a Mail Order Diploma in Quackery.

You have no idea of what you are talking about, as usual.

As usual, the research MD is totally out of date. :)

Would that not be a recommendation?

It seems to me that there was a famous nurse who believed and practiced
the same thing. As I recall, in her wing of the hospital only 4% of
the soldiers died compared to over 40% for those treated by the
allopathic MDs.

Famous? Famous? How in the world was this possible?? Perhaps he
HEALED his patients rather than killing them with
arsenic/strychnine/bleeding as the allopaths of that day and even today
do/did. Yes, the docs are again bleeding their patients and they still
use mercury.

Your slanted history will not work on me. Orthopathy lasted until past
1908 when the last medical school was forced out of operation by the
medical monopoly because the school refused to teach Pasteur's germ
theory of disease to its students.

You should also check out Dr. Graham, MD. You know, the one for whom
the graham cracker is named for.

>Natural Hygiene outside of a few Quacky Diet Books is >completely dead.

It is dead only to those who cannot read, comprehend, and understand
the truth.

It goes under the name of Natural Hygiene which dates from the time
when the Hygienists preferred cleanliness in the hospitals while the
allopaths feared water and cleanliness. As you know, the patients of
the allopaths died by the thousands due to all the infections while
those of the Hygienists did not suffer the pus and sickness that the
allopaths heaped upon their patients, both old and newborn.

I, for one, will not allow the truth to be buried. Allopathic medicine
is no different that the SS and the Nazis. Their lies and the billions
of deaths cannot be allowed to be swept under the rug if we truly want
evidence based scientific medicne based upon the truth.

Tell that to all the MDs, DOs, and DCs who have taken up the banner of
the medical truth and are trying to serve the public in the manner that
both the profession and the public desire.

Shelton basically defined Natural Hygiene as everything good that
works.

It is just a bunch of B/S that ended up killing people on long fasts.
The only thing notable about Natural Hygiene was that it was totally
against taking drugs, including herbal medicine and probably even
vitamin supplements.

It is dead and does not exist today as there are only mail order
colleges teaching natural hygience. And, the Diamons in _Fit for Life_
turned it into a method of losing weight. It is a totall joke.

Just my opinion, but I am right as usual.

I just did. :)
