Hmmm. I refuse to carry one but Sue's got one with two SIM cards (O2 and
Orange) and still we don't get a signal on either in lots of places we walk
in the Surrey Hills. Sod's law that any problems would happen then.
Can you get a signal in the wilds of Scotland/Wales/Lake District etc?
If so why is the mobile signal so patchy in Surrey when the hills aren't
considered hills by most of you? :-)

And you can allegedly get a signal if you phone 112 for the emergency
services. Thing is, of course, it's not possible to actually test this
without phoning them.
