When the word gets out how good Gab's provisions really are, especially her
fruit and granola bars(?), anyway they're worth the price of admission right
there. Her trail mix, or Gorp, with home-dried raisins is amazing. Our
collaborated pancakes with sausages with GeeDub's home-roasted, home brewed
Kona was a special treat. BBQ'd steaks the night before weren't too bad,
either. They wuz as red as my neck. If ya gotta suffer like that up in the
wilds of Idaho, you may as well eat well, right?

Now that we're talking about Penny, "don't get me started, you know how I
get." she and Gab stole the show on food, We sat there amazed as she made a
dutch oven lasagna Thurs afternoon, and a dutch oven blueberry cobbler Sat
nt that were simply incredible. (Camp food wasn't like that when we were
kids)

Kinda like magic. She throws everything in just so, gives it the right
amount of cogitation in the coals, then,

VOILA!! an awesome feast.

The highlights were the people, the setting, the food, and even the
riding...

The cobbler was even better as leftoevers the next night. And it was
mine, all mine!! Bwaaa haahaaaa.

Somehow, even with all my snarfing, I managed to lose some weight this
weekend.

OMG, blueberry cobbler made with fresh berries and Ben and Jerry's vanilla
ice cream, en plein aire....after as much range fed Porterhouse that I could
choke down, and those fresh picked Oregon greens for salad......

Ahhh, didn't know that Blueberry cobbler was yours -- that picture
really wet my appetite. And Lazagna, too .... m... m... mmmmm :-) :-)

Gary, the coffee king, was utterly fascinated by my Dutch Oven cooking. I'm
rather a novice as these things go: enchiladas, lasagne, cobbler, upsidedown
cake. It's like magic: 18 briquets on top, 7 on the bottom wait 35 minutes
and Voila`! His wife was warning him off any additional hobbies that might
require more gear. As if mountain biking and personal coffee roasting
weren't enough.
