Because of the low income status all over SE Asia, the majority don't
have computers at home. But there are cyber cafes on just about every
other block, every guest house has them for it's visitors, and you are

What is your pasis of this information? My son spent a year in Nigeria
where the average daily income is about 80 nira, less than 1$ US a day. The

Mike, please do us a favor and snip out his posts when you reply. Many
folk have killfiled this guy years ago, and never have to see his posts
unless they get repeated in someone's reply.

By the way, he DOES 'sort of' live in Thailand. He lives like a hermit
in Chiang Mai, a few klicks from me, but is never seen by light of day.
He is afraid to come outside where people can get at him. His neighbors
have already poisoned his dogs, and would have preferred to do the same
to him. His home is surrounded by high walls and protected by FIVE
infra-red motion detector alarms to protect him from his neighbors. Most
bars and restaurants in town have banned him, and he hasn't said a
truthful statement in years! In fact, now seeing his reply to my post, I
can give you very specific examples. He does know where I live and has
been in my building many times (but only around 4AM.) He says that I
can't get to an internet cafe in five minutes, but there is one right in
the lobby of my building, one more 2 blocks south, three more across the
street one more block south. None of these are hidden.... Chiang Mai is
a major backpack tourist destination, so every place that caters to them
will be providing internet service, from guest houses to on street
restaurants. A new one just sprung up a few weeks ago, with a large sign
boldly stating free wi-fi right on the main road along the moat around
the Old Town. He wouldn't see it, as it's closed when he's out and about.

I'm getting confused. First Steve claims there are internet cafes all over
Thailand and then he says they are not. Which is it Steve? Are you just
arguing with yourself?
