When I registered, I estimated my finish times for some races. The
UNICON site requested this so that appropriate starting groups can be
formed. I presume that this information can be edited by the registrant
at a later date, just like many other registration details. My question
is: when are the estimated times taken from the web site for the
purpose of forming starting groups?

Yes, you can edit this information at a later date - until the close of
online registration (1 July).

Filling in this information will give you a better starting position.
For example, people who say their best times in the 10k are at 53
minutes will still get a better starting position than those who do not
put any time at all!

The early registration fees are now finished - prices are now 1100DKK
for competitors and 400DKK for non-competitors.

If you want to go to the Final Party - I really suggest you sign up
soon. The maximum capacity is 600, on a first-come first-serve basis.
We are currently at 585 people, so only 15 spots left.

The lodging is also filling up. We have almost 450 people staying in
the classrooms, and I think there is a maximum of about 500 people.

everything?

And anyone knows how much costs a simple hotel close to unicon (per
day)?

John Foss and myself posted some information on accommodation earlier
in this thread. The simplest -hotel -close by was 995 DDK per night,
breakfast included. I say "was" since it's fully booked already. There
are some "Bed and Breakfast" options which are cheaper than a hotel,
and some are also closer by. On 28 March, I could choose between three
that still had place for me. Their prices run from 350 to 500 DKK per
night for a single room. Breakfast is optional and costs another 30 to
50 DKK. Email me for addresses, phone numbers and other details.
(I have more addresses than the three that had space, and that I didn't
even contact because it already worked out for me. Some are cheaper
than 350 DKK.)

Yes, definitely. But I would recommend keeping your passport, money,
digital cameras with you at all times. But clothes, unis, sleeping bag,
etc. should all be fine in the schools. The only people allowed in the
schools are other *registered* Unicon people.

Total number of competitors:
Trials = 211 (174 male / 37 female)
Street = 46 (7 Jr Male / 33 Expert Male / 6 Expert Female)

There are not any maximums for these events, but there must be at least

To Connie: It hasn't been updated yet - the text under MUni is still
unchanged. Besides, giving more information as it comes available is
one thing. But I actually asked clarification of the text on the
website, so this is knowledge that apparently is known already, but I
could not understand it because of the confusing wording (to me).

So if new information is not forthcoming shortly, I don't really
complain about that as I understand how busy you can be organising all
this stuff. But then maybe the existing text can be clarified either on
the website or in this thread (or both)? Thanks!

Just a quick reminder to those of you travelling to UNICON by plane,
make sure you don't pack any of your tools in your hand luggage.
I made the mistake of leaving my Cooltool in the bottom of my small
rucksack when I went to Canada last week and it was seized by customs.
I guess they were afraid I was going to spanner someone to death.
Fortunately I was able to get to the shop at the airport, buy some
stamps and an envelope and post it back to my house.
To avoid any hassle, stick this kind of thing in your checked-in
luggage.
