Hah! I made a telephone call to a pizza place that's on the way to the
friend's house where a few of us gathered to watch the big game. My
contribution to the festivities was two large pizzas, one plain and one
with 'shrooms.

Did anyone watch PuppyBowl II on Animal Planet yesterday? Just a camera
on a bunch of puppies (or halftime it was kittens) on a mini-football
field with a few toys. They were just doing what dogs do... romping,
playing King of the Mountain, playing tug of war with toys, etc. They
had the waterbowl cam, too, for those slurpy moments. Bissel sponsored
the time-outs for clean-ups. The referee entered now and then for
penalties and the puppies jumped all over him. Really was a cute
show... went on for hours.

I watched that after the regular super bowl was over. Part of me was thinking
"this is so lame, it's just puppies playing" and yet I loved it. So damned
cute.

Nope. I've made gravlax, but I ate it without benefit of nori or
vinegared rice. And now that i'm in Cow Hill for the duration, I'm
not likely to make gravlax again for quite a spell. The local raw
salmon isn't trustworthy.

We wore no ties. It was Mikey maki, after all. I did change jeans,
however. I wore the ones without the hole in the seat for the game
festivities. One has one's standards.

Speaking as a person living with a new-ish puppy, I must say that the
program sounds like a hoot.
