Recommendations for apartment bike stands?

It was easy to assemble and adjust, and holds my road bike and mtb. The only
time it came close to toppling was when my cat grabbed the wheel of the MTB.
Close call, and the cat hasn't done it since.

It holds two (of my three) bikes fine. Because it leans against the
wall at the top, and has splayed legs at the bottom, it's quite stable,
and not likely to be knocked over by a cat pulling at a wheel. (The
wall and floor contact points are softish rubber or polymer
hemispheres--an ultra-polished floor may be too slippery, because it
does depend entirely on friction to keep the bottom of the rack from
sliding out.)

My biggest functional complaint is that there should be more choice on
where to put the bike's top tube on the arms--the default location is
too far out. It's still stable, but the bikes hung out into the room
(aka entranceway of my apartment) a bit too much. I put some inner
tube on the arms and placed the bikes more in towards the rack.

It's not quite as well thought-out in its details as your typical Ikea
item--it's pretty inevitable that the upright tubes will get marked
when you are moving the arms around, and the precision of the fit of
the tubes is not that great. But these are aesthetic quibbles.
