Reynolds Handivac

First, I am in no way affiliated with this product! That being said, I have to say that I LOVE it! I have a FoodSaver, but it spends most of it's time in the cupboard. I pull it out when I buy large quantities at Costco, but don't use it for everyday storage. The new Handivac is convenient and it is no trouble to seal up a package of cheese, bacon, veggies or lettuce and I think the thing has paid for itself in the month or so I've had it. Don't know why I'm writing this, but it's not very often that I am so completely satisfied with a new gadget.......and yes, I am a sucker for every new kitchen gadget that comes along. jillie Roseville, CA

First, I am in no way affiliated with this product!
That being said, I have to say that I LOVE it! I have a FoodSaver,
but it spends most of it's time in the cupboard. I pull it out when I
buy large quantities at Costco, but don't use it for everyday storage.
The new Handivac is convenient and it is no trouble to seal up a
package of cheese, bacon, veggies or lettuce and I think the thing has
paid for itself in the month or so I've had it.
Don't know why I'm writing this, but it's not very often that I am so
completely satisfied with a new gadget.......and yes, I am a sucker
for every new kitchen gadget that comes along.

I bought one and also love it! The bags maintain the vacuum - I expected
they'd leak right away, but they haven't.
Of course, we've gotta see what happens after a month or so in the freezer!

I never had a problem keeping any of those before. Why would I
need lettuce for a month? Or why can't the bacon go in the
freezer?

I've been watching the commercials with great interest - I don't have
room for a FoodSaver, but this little gadget would be easy to find a
place for.
As a single, I often have stuff I want to freeze; currently, I use the
suck-air-out-with-a-straw method, but Ziplocs aren't airtight.
I think I'll give this Reynolds stuff a try.

need lettuce for a month? Or why can't the bacon go in the

I don't keep lettuce for a month! But, after about 3 days, it gets
kinda pitiful and in the vacumn bag, it keeps a week....and...I don't
like to mess with frozen bacon at 6 am!
The Reynolds Handivac cost $9.49 at the grocery store..it's with all
the other storage products.
I stand by my original post....I LOVE this thing!

I didn't notice that but I did a quick glance and the
box of replacement bags (I didn't notice how many) were $4.
