The recent petral spike has increased the number of cyclists in my
area. And this in general is a good thing, however I've seen alot of
extreemly dangerous behavour. Last night I saw what I consider
stuipidity of a life threatening mannor. Riding against traffic, at
night, without lights, in low visability cloathing along a majour
three lane high way. I fear soon there will be one less cycelist in
my neighborhood.

Yep, I suppose this is inevitable. To be honest, 18 months ago I was a
saddle-too-low, footpath-riding, cower-in-the-gutter, gumby rider. Took me a
while to get lights too, although that was more down to a student income. I
wasn't *quite* dumb enough to ride against traffic on the road either. Maybe
this is where WOJ community action should come into play. Last Sunday of the
month, new commuter workshops? I could canvas the LBSs and we could work out
leaflet drops. Or something...to be honest, I can't really afford to print
and leave stacks of leaflets, but a notice at each LBS and maybe places like
supermarkets noticeboards is doable.
