  1. "How has he been?". "Not very good Dr., he's still mumbling about surf and I think the twitching is
getting worse. Did he live by the coast?". "No I don't think so, has he be taking all his
medication?" "Yes, Dr., he seems to be ok with them now. Oh, we've been keeping his curtains drawn
and the windows locked." "Why?". "He's been throwing his slippers at the birds again".

Bill liked the curtains drawn anyway, kept the glare of the monitor. "They think they can tell me
what to do, a**holes. They're on my list".

A small tour of interns entered the ward. "This next case is very interesting, multiple personality
disorder. Most of his distinct personalities share the same paranoid delusions, very rare. And all
of his personas, that we know of, display sociopathic behaviours." The interns nodded, impressed, a
few made notes. A young post grad in a new lab coat peered through the small Plexiglas window in to
Bill's room. She watched him typing feverishly, hunched over the keyboard. He appeared to be wearing
his state issued cotton pants in side out, one sock, and three or four pairs of briefs on his head.
Bill turned suddenly and waggled his tongue, making her jump. "Ha!" Bill said to himself and grinned
his most self satisfied grin of the day.

A matronly nurse approached with a purposeful look and a tray of pills. The interns parted as she
reached Bill's door. She took a deep breath and opened the door. "Time for your pills Bill." "[censored]
off, I'm busy, they're all wearing Nikes again!" "They will still be there in a minute honey" she
said with one hand on her hip. Bill thought she looked a bit like Aunt Jemima before they made her
thin. "If your good I'll get you some extra Jell-O with your dinner." Bill sighed and shook his
head. He knew the [censored] wouldn't leave him alone until she was satisfied. "Talk to me like kid?!,
you're on my list!", he thought to himself. He snatched the little paper cups off the tray and
tossed the pills back all at once, waving away the water as she offered it. "Lift your tongue
please." said the nurse, wanting to be sure he actually swallowed them. Bill did, she smiled, and
much to his relief, she finally left, closing the door behind her with an institutional click. Bill
retrieved a sock from behind the monitor. He coughed the pills in to the sock and returned it to
it's hiding place. "That should be enough for a good buzz tonight" he thought. With a severe and
involuntary twitch he returned to his three news readers.

    Hiya Surf.

Screwing with Wobbot's head again? You really should take up a more challenging sport.

    Roger.

  3. Please. Sincere jogging posts only. We have no time for such silliness.

  4. I view it as more of a hobby.

What challenging sport would you suggest?

Hmmm. Something we could compete at via the 'net. Something new. Something scary (OK, I'll admit I'm
    easily scared).

I'll tell you what I can't do, but would like to try. See if anything appeals. If it does we could
learn together - but on different continents - then bore the ass off everyone by constantly
    comparing notes/times/results.

In-line skating. X-C mountain bike racing. Adventure racing. Windsurfing. Street luge. Motocross.
    Sailboat racing.

    Can you suggest anything else?

    Roger.

The only thing you could participate in is wanking for distance. And even then you would fall short.

  8. How about Fencing or Kendo?

I'm sure rec.sport.fencing or alt.martial-arts.kendo could benefit enormously from our quickly
    acquired expertise.

Shouldn't I get a handicap for my tiny member?

Done some fencing (foil and epee, not sabre) though not to competition standard. WTF is Kendo?

Got to be honest here and say that I really don't enjoy combat sports. In fact I don't enjoy any
sports where I need a partner or team-mates. I like to control my own destiny. It's good to have
someone to measure your acquired skills against, hence my suggestion that we compete via the 'net.

    Next suggestions please...

    Roger.

Japanese "fencing" where you whack each other over the heads with bamboo "light sabers"

Adventure racing, on your list, is most definitely a team sport. A major part of the strategy is
figuring out how to avoid being hobbled by the weakest member of the team for a particular
component of the race and how to let the strong (runner, paddler, cyclist, climber, etc.) pull the
    entire team ahead.

And when you're out there for 3-48+ hours together, it's best to be out with people you like
spending time with. But god forgive me for being serious, it's a pretty amazing sport. It's got
the exhaustion component of marathons without the knee pain, and you usually see more
    interesting places.

But don't underplay the team component, particularly in the adventure races with a "test"
component (scale this wall, crawl through this mudpit carrying a teammate, etc.). The bright side
is that the teammates are usually as crazy as you are.

Typical fraser. To much of coward to compete face to face but internet bullying is quite alright.
