  1. Hi All,

Yesterday I went to a spinning session, and the bike I got had an old
Selle San Marco Rolls saddle. This saddle fit me like they used my bum
as a mold at the factory. Does anyone who has used one of these know
of a modern (available) saddle with the same shape and feel?

    Thanks!

    Joseph

    As already mentioned...how'sabout a...Rolls!

Here's the steel rail version for a mere $47:
    http://www.speedgoat.com/product.asp?part=44455&cat=270&brand=224

Really fantastic saddle. I'd have one on my main sporting bike if
hadn't found an equally comfy NOS Unicanitor clone last year.

They're really not that uncommon, the Rolls I mean, despite their
vintage. A UK buddy bought a Ribble last year, and a Rolls came stock.
    He adores it.

I just scored a nice NOS blue one on eBay. Blue matches my bike! An
although it is a known fact that red bikes are faster, I like blue.

If I really like this saddle as much as I think I do, I'll have to get
some more for my other bikes. What colors do you have, and do they
have the gold trim, or silver?

Hmmm....considerably less than half the price of the (2.5oz
lighter!!!) titanium rail version at Excell Sports (where they can
also lighten your wallet with those "Ceramic Upgrades"!).

So what? You wouldn't even look at the prices of other things to see
if they are reasonable? Because they sell some super-high zoot stuff
    you won't even look?

    Brilliant.

Not on everything. They have closeouts from time to time, and I've
gotten some stems from them at good prices.

I guess my timing just hasn't been there.

Yep, I bought an NOS Rolls in yellow, smooth leather cover a couple of
years ago at Nashbar. It's got gold/bronze colored rails, badges and
    rear trim.

I think the new ones with that funky, cracked leather looking cover
    have gold/bronze trim too.

Don't those clowns know that a saddle is supposed to cost $250, looks
like an anvil, and have all sorts of accents & a name with a
    completely ambiguous ethnic heritage ??
