  1. I drove to work today, all 2.5 miles. So, I through the SS on the back
and figured I do a nice cardio ride after work. I've resided to myself
that I will not be able to climb the mountains on the SS, but it will
make a great workout rig and snowmobile for the lower altitude trails.

Bear Creek Lake State Park is just a short drive from the office and has
enough mileage and short sprint climbs to make it a great workout area.
Having the state park pass saves me the $5 entrance fee, so I might as
well get my seasons pass worth.

A quick look at the trail map and I figure doing all the trails should
net me a good 12 miles. So it's full out spinning like a hamster for
the next 12 miles. Now I'm wishing I didn't lighten the gearing. It's
too easy for these trails, but none-the-less for a cardio workout you
need to spin. And spin I did!

I have officially dubbed this place the piney ride of the west. It will
most likely be my crappy winter weather ride.

    Here's some pics:

It's a city park if I recall correctly.

Then I owe them $5. Pretty nice for a city park.

You should just park at the golf course and ride over the dam.

That's an option and I saw some cars across the street from the toll
    area too.

Nice. Looks like a good spin.

I missed my window today. Tomorrow is still a possibility though. I
don't think I'll do that ride you mentioned because I think I'll need to
keep it pretty quick. I might just urban trail/road ride.
Have fun on your mystery ride.

This ride (Bear Creek Lake Park) would be close for you and a quick.
    It's at C470 and 285.

Thanks. I guess to me close means I can ride to it, so that was out too.
🙂 I needed to leave the car for MrsB.

I wound up just going urban around the Stapleton redevopment area. Found
some parks and even a little dirt and singletrack here and there (hit
some kids' BMX jumps made from landscaping dirt piles).
It was good enough to get my spin on and now I'm back in the G-Spot
which I really appreciate after a few days in the city.

That's cool. Idon't get the whole Stapleton thing. I looked there, but
it just didn't appeal to me. Seems kind of too urban and pricey for
what it is and the [censored] that surrounds it.

The surrounding neighborhoods are downright scary. I just liked how it
looked compared to before the redevelopment. It could have been done
many different ways or even just left to rot, so considering the
alternatives I'd say it seems nice. I didn't look at any prices but I
    bet I'd consider it overpriced.
But the greenways were nice and there are lots of paths and little
stretches of trail. If I had to live in the city I'd probably consider it.
