This is Agoura Hills, CA, 10 min from my house. Stopped off for a bit on
R&R on the way to work, well, about 2 hours worth. Me, Rodd, Todd, and
Rodd's wife, Dena, who is a trooper for letting us drag her down suicide.
Bad light in the beginning, bit dark still.
The first bit is the climb up dead cow, which never ends. Few techie
sections. Everyone made each section individually, but no one could
string them all together.
Group mug shot. More bad light, sorry. Well OK, bad photographer, cheap
camera, etc...
The next chute is waaaay steeper than it looks. It was such perfect
trail conditions after the rain that we had to go back and do again, and
take pics.
Next is a wide loop around Simi peak, AKA China flats. Just fast
singletrack.
Last is the suicide drop. Not too many pics, it's hard to stop when
you're in the zone. Few snaps of Todd on some of the steeper bits.
Todd went over a ledge wrong and I found him clutching a rock. Looked
like he was kissing it. It was the save of the week, no injuries.
At the bottom of suicide I always have the adrenaline overload jitters.
Man that is fun. There's something to be said for being right on the
edge of eating it for 20 min non stop :-)
