  1. I'm looking for a saddle bag with a seperate pocket for a mobile phone? I've been using my standard saddle bag and my phone gets scratched by my multi-tool or levers and it is also a pain to take the bag off the saddle to answer my phone.

I can't seem to find a streamlined saddle bag with a main compartment for a tube, cartridge & lever and a seperate zippered compartment for a phone that you can get to without taking the bag off the saddle.

    HELP!!!!

    HELP!!!!

This is why I went to Target and bought a $7.00 leather case for sweat protection, then the whole thing goes into my jersey pocket. Or, just don't answer the phone! 😄

  3. Wouldn't it be easier -- both in terms of your ability to protect your phone from scratches, *and* your ability to answer the phone while riding (a habit I personally deplore, but I understand not everyone has the luxury of being able to disconnect) -- to just carry the phone in your jersey pocket?

Try putting your phone/etc. EITHER a single OR double'd ziploc-type plastic bag ... OR, the tools in one ziploc'd baggie (they come in sandwich & half-sizes ...) & your phone/delicates in another.

  5. Hopefully I won't wreck.....but just in case I don't want to damage a $500 Treo. Plus, I hate bulky stuff in my jersey pockets.

Well, the plastic bags will have almost no added volume while superficially protecting-and-separating items IN YOUR SADDLE BAG.

If you want something a bit more elegant, go to your local TANDY LEATHER store & buy some scrap garment leather to make pouches.

  7. Just go down to your local sport store and get a mobile case for your upper arm... 😄
