Saddle with no centre horn

  1. I came across a saddle with no centre horn whilst browsing on Ebay. It's
    the damndest looking thing. I could see it working for a hybrid with a very
    upright riding position but somehow I can't see Lance rushing off to order
    one.

    I have a friend who saws the horns off all his saddles, and covers them
    over with duct tape.

    I guess for him it works.

    they been around in europe for quite a few years but funnily enoug

    Better than the Easy Seat! I tried one of those (few bucks at a yard
    sale, I'm not nuts) a few years ago. No matter how I adjusted it the
    best I could come up with was an orientation that drove the points
    directly into the muscle/ligament/thingy where the butt meets the leg
    whenever I exerted more than light pressure. Everything else was much
    worse. I thought of sawing off the points but figured it was (ha!)
    pointless.

    Try riding one for a while and you will see they are not as comfortable
    as you first imagine it to be.
