I have my old Shogun Metro SE hybrid bicycle for sale. I think the frame is 54cm (I'm over 6 foot) choice.com.auviewArticle.aspxOpen ↗ It needs, new tires and tubes. It also needs the whole drive raplaced (front and rear cogs plus chain). A good wash and a little love and it wont be far from good to great condition. I'm in Melbourne, Victoria. Any idea how much I should advertise this for as is? It's a great bike that seved me well.

:-P I sold one earlier this year on ebay, had good tyres, and good drivetrain but the paint was faded and rusty and I got about $70 for it.
I think sell as is for about $40 bucks and not have the worry of doing it up as you'll never get your money back.

Yeah, i don't want to put any money or time into it but is $40 realistic (I don't know). I paid between $700-$800 a few years back for it while new, I know it's an old model and has been superseded but.............$40!!!! Not worth the effort of selling it either. Thanks anyway. :-P

Keep it as a spare, if you sell it cheap the new owner won't treat it with respect and it'll end up trashed.

Friday
Find a bike coop that recycles bikes or sends them off to Timor etc and donate it as an act of charity, plus a new cluster. Youll feel good and you wont have to worry you didnt get a good price. Jeez, why dont I do the same with my old Gemini Randonneur, I keep thinking I'll do it up but I know I never will.
