Arses. I know a couple of people with debilitating illnesses and I wouldn't
wish it on anyone. Here's hoping that effective treatment is worked out for
him by the neurologist.

Oh that's really bad news to hear about. It's all the more disturbing
because it sounds very similar to the type of debilitating muscular atrophy
and nervous sytem loss that a good friend and well-known cyling advocate and
author Ron Shepherd suffered from about 1990 onwards. He spent a lot of time
designing specially adapted bikes and later a hand-cranked trike to maintain
his cycling mobility.

I hope Sheldon comes good in future.

i can remember the first day i wandered down to the glenvale crits and there was an old bloke volunteering who was obviously past riding (he was getting about with a stick) and you could just see the mixture of smiles and sadness in his face watching everone riding.
i guess that day will come for us all, but shall resist it as long as possible.... 🙁
