I find the Lumotec oval gives plenty enough light for my needs, though I
have been thinking that a couple of LED lights would be useful for

Get it from Kinetics or SJSC since they are the only UK importers and
get your LBS to build you the wheel. Thats what I did.

Yes, I have those two on my list of places to try (the other suggestion
I've had was to get it directly from Germany), so will investigate where
I can get it for the best price.

I'll probably have a go at building my own wheel - partly because I no
longer trust my LBS, especially with wheels, for various reasons I won't
repeat here. Shame, cos I used to think they were so good...

Prices went up as from Nov 1st. So find someone who is a bit behind 😉

Lightspins are lovely. I regret somewhat not replacing mine (n.b. when I
put in the insurance claim, the bloke at the allegedly specialist bike
replacement company said that they had to look up to see if there really
were dynamoes that expensive. They only offered a B & M one, so I spent it
on upgrading to hub gears instead.)

I use a Shimano Ultegra purchased as a built wheel from Spa Cycles. It has
an Amrosio Evolution rim. Cost £110 and is not noticeable whilst riding. I
have turned it on and off during daylight to feel any difference.
Answer-nothing!
I was going to buy a SON but for the much extra cost after trying one I am
very happy with my Shimano Ultegra.
