Shoe wear

On AMB-ID 04 a dude ripped the cleat holder out of his shoe
making it a long rest-of-the ride.

I just ripped the sole off my Sh!tmano shoes and it's only been 1.5 years.

Well, perhaps that's a good point...and I'm not gentle on
stuff either. I'll see what I can find around town...I got
time...took a ride up the hill until it started raining and
then booked it home.

It's starting to really come down now and it's a sopping mess
out there.

Blue skies here in Joizey. I'll do a 25 miler on dirt tomorrow at Fair
Hill, MD with my new MTB shoes of course. The only thing I could find
that fit me were CrapandFail MTB shoes. They are actually very
comfortable for $70. I have no problem spending more but the cheaper
ones (I like laces) are always more comfortable that the expensive ones.

Getting ready to thunder and lightning here.

I just got some new shoes. My Sidi Rampa's have been on the verge of
disintegrating for quite some time, and I really wanted something that had
more of a sticky sole. The hard plastic racer soles really suck for
hike-a-bike, balancing unclipped on pedals, and anything thing that
resembles wet rocks or smooth rocks.

I ended up with a nifty Specialized that seems to be just the ticket.
Comfy, not too soft, sticky sole and they don't look like GRS. It took a
while to get the cleat position dialed in, though.
