Correction Mayo took the 12 second bonus on Luz Ardiden and Ullrich took the 8 seconds for third.... Armstrong took the 20 for first... Ullrich might have needed the 12 for the TT......... instead he rode his bike into synthetic hay bails.... Ullrich later confessed he thought they were large marshmallows and he was hungry....

If I was a DS I would still fear Vino. Until we know if he is unable to ride because of the injury, he is still the rider to fear..... All the teams needed to attack him when they had the chance on Sunday. They needed to make Kloedon hurt too to see if his injury would cause him problems. Both of them rested today and then who knows. A person would think rest would really help. I would think the teams would change game plans if Vino is down and out. This TDF is long.
And Kloedon understands this team is Vino's until it is obvious Vino cannot continue. I would fully expect him to continue as a loyal rider until they know for sure the state of Vino....
Tomorrow will tell us alot if anyone grabs the bull by the horn. If not, they are allowing the Vino/Kloedon duo back into the race.

you are correct... for some reason I pressed 20 instead of 12...

That's one of the goofier TT helmets I have seen. It looks more like a swimmer's cap.

You appear to ahve missed the first section of my post where I said they all rode like [censored] by not working together to put time into the others.

Evans earnt some brownie points today.... The top 10 is looking like a bunch sprint (except for Ras).

Evans has a decent chance of overall victory. He's climbing as well, maybe a little better than the others who can time trial. He needs to put some time into Kloden in the Pyrenees to nail this thing shut. Putting time into Leipheimer would also be nice.

I would feel safer if Cadel had at least one good climber around him more - cant hang as much [censored] on Horner this year though as he is doing a bloody good job. When robbie got cut I was very happy I have to admit. :o

McEwen going home definitely may help Evans. The team can concentrate on protecting him rather than setting Robbie up for the sprint.

I will say this for Evans. After hearing him speak, I think it's clear he's not using testosterone.

I hope he wins the tour this year and I dont really care how he does it, sorry WBT but you can hold hope of cristophe bozo moreau winning with his girly little attacks that send him about 3metres clear of the bunch. Contador and Evans must have a giggle at that bloke. When you attack the idea is to ATTACK and actually ride people off your wheel not just totally disrupt the work in your group.

Klodi is also riding well and he could be in yellow after the first TT...he is a bit of a gun. Contador has talent oozing out of every pore in his body but he probably needs to save his legs for a big burst in a pyrenees hilltop finish.

Yes it looked like he reacted to Contador, not really attacked. It was a very impressive move though.

In the end he paid for it, caught by Valverde and Ras. I think Valv is riding a very smart race.
