Motobecane track bike 56cm circa 1970
im 5-10 or so with long legs (never been fitted for a bike, but 56cm sounds about right...yes?)
ebay for about $130...looks to be in great condition

fixed gears just seem so cool!:D

Probably in the ballpark, but correct fit involves more than just the listed frame size. For those do not have the experience to determine if a bike will fit them properly sight unseen, perhaps ebay or mail order is not the best way to buy. You would do better with the assistance of a good local shop, and many have older used bikes for sale, or at least here in Seattle they do.

Agree. Standover height is just a crude estimate when it comes to fit. Top tube length is just as important. Also some people prefer an upright riding position and others prefer a tucked aero position. It's really difficult to tell what size is really going to work best without actually being on the bike for a while.
