Simonelli Road Bicycle Question

Hope someone can help me. I recently picked up a womens bike for my wife on eBay, $11 just couldn't pass it. While I was collecting it I happened to notice a mens road bike with flat tubular tyres and what looked to be Shimano 600 group set. It had a kids seat and frame fitted so I offered them $20 and they agreed.

The bike has a nice little 53cm square traditional frame, mavic rims, 6 speed Shimano 600 & Dura Ace front brake (cable adjuster missing). Frame has a Columbus tubing sticker and Campagnolo dropouts.
Stickers read 'SIMONELLI' but I can find no info. I guess it is late '80s, rides great but I want some info.
