You did your steak just the way I like it! Black on the outside and
    red in the middle.

Nice choice of vegetable too. 😉

    Looks really good Andy.
Did you have any gout problems from it?

I was looking for you to point out the Elmer's glue along with the
    food on the plate. ;-)

    sf,

    Thanks.

I sliced it paper thin. I ate the whole pot of sauted onions which cooked
down to three good helpings. :9

I have a leftover baked potato so I'll probably make steak & eggs &
    hashbrowns for breakfast tomorrow.

    koko,

I figured the beef might raise some gout discomfort so I took an indocin
(anti-inflamatory) after dinner. It was worth it.

    Thanks,

Looks delish. But where are your green vegetables? Steamed, well drained
broc. spears with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top that melts among the
    shrubbery.

    cybercat,

I could have made a green veggie only it would've meant eating less of
everything else and I wasn't willing to make the sacrifice. Another time.
    🙂

    Thanks,

Looks good, Andy! I love flank steak.

Dinner last night (and leftovers for lunch today) was boneless pork
chops--dredged in flour, then covered with egg and coated with bread
crumbs--pan-fried in EVOO and a little butter. Garlic and a bit of chicken
broth and lemon juice were then added, with capers sprinkled in at the end
(sort of a pork piccata). Sides were a Texmati rice, red rice, and lentil
pilaf and spinach sauteed with garlic. It was quite yummy.

    Thanks,

hahaha! I had just finished a medium rare sirloin with a big pile of
perfectly steamed broc with cheddar melted on it, is why I asked.
I'm on this vegetable kick, and I have seen amazing results--weight
loss, bp is wayyyy down, and cholesterol numbers are great. BUT
I don't want to become one of those "more veggie than thou"
types. The thing is, I still eat my meat and lots of it--but have
vegetables and fruits I love, instead of potatoes and pasta and
cereals and such. I'm pig-out full all the time, but mostly of stuff
like cucumbers and peppers and watermelon and broc.

And--this is very important--every day I tell myself that I can have
ANYTHING I want. I just choose the stuff that's getting me good
results most days. Other days--footlong meatball subs, tacos, loaded
    baked potatoes, double cheeseburgers, whatever!

Like the looks of the set-up. Grand! Sensational!

See the fire-extinguisher is handy. Hope you got a good insurance rate for
    doing so.

I haven't photographed my food in a long time. I should start doing that

I thought it was pretty funny that he called two halves of a baked
potato, "Vegetables," and some sauteed onions, "Salad." God, can you
imagine the farts all those cooked onions produced? Ooops, there I go
being sophomoric again, bringing up farts.

You probably passed a bunch while sleeping. My nephew did that one
night while we were over at his apartment. It was awful.
