for example. But I do have a couple of stainless saute pans that go in the oven just fine - again,
not non-stick and they don't have plastic handles.Jill

Non stick pans with a metal handle will do a better job than cast iron for normal use. As long as
you don't heat them past 450 they are totally safe. -

Why would you want to? NS pans wear out. Cast iron never does.

a part in the recipe; i.e., it heats more evenly, can retain heat longer and can be moved to the
oven where other skillets (those with wooden or plastic handles) can't.--
