One of the bags in the Tamrac Zoom range may fot the bill. I use
the Zoom 16, which is larger than you need but provide the
functionality you've described. It's robust too.

Unfortunately manufacturers seem very reticent on giving us the
relevant information. You get lots of pretty pictures of the front of
the bag but no idea what size the belt slot is or even if there is
one.

Camera bags are one of those things bought from a Real Shop [TM] but
unfortunately real shops tend to have a limited range.

I've used a CCS Wallaby for my film SLRs (pentax ME and MX) and it now
holds my Canon D400 and two lenses and I can feed the belt of my
Berghaus backpacking sac through the belt slot But CCS have got out
of the camera bag business and it's not really weatherproof. :-(

Normally I don't feed it onto the belt but clip it into D-rings that I
have added to the shoulder straps of my rucksacs.

As mentioned by another poster, I use a Tamrac Zoom toploader, I also
got one of the Tamrac belts which allows me to mount the bag and lens
cases on it ... looks a bit daft but hey ho.

A subject dear to my heart!

I own a Canon 400D with a 18-200 lens, if the camera bag is too big I tend
to get into the habit of not taking the camera. So I wanted a bag that could
either be carried via a shoulder strap or worn round the waist.

When I first started looking for a suitable bag I only had the camera but to
make matters worse I recently bought the Canon battery grip which makes the
camera a fair bit bigger. Back to square one with what seemed like even less
choice.

After much searching I found a Tamrac that fits. Their Pro or Zoom 7 is
designed to take a camera with zoom lens and a battery grip! I ordered one
and it arrived last week.

It's exactly what I need, it has belt loops, the loop has press studs and
Velcro so you don't have to thread it onto the belt, and can also be hung
off a rucksack if required. It comes with a removable shoulder strap too.

The do a range of sizes including one that's small enough for your needs.

As someone else mentioned, they also do a 'utility' belt that you can hang
the bag on along with a variety of other bags for lenses, drink, etc.

I would take the camera to a photo shop that stocks lowepro and see
what fits. Anyone got a soloution for a Pentax K10, Pentax ist backup,
4 lenses* and a benbow :-(

*It will be 4 if and when anybody can supply the sigma 170-400 :-(
