Strangely (or not) enough, when I was back in DC last month I had dinner
with some old high school friends (yeah, I know, REDUNDANT!), and one of
them lives right in Rock Creek Park and mentioned the coyotes. Seems a
number of his neighbors had cats go missing, AND have spotted the Wiley Ones
roaming the 'hood.

I'm from there, but don't recall ever hearing of coyotes in the area. Must
be a fairly recent phenomenon...
