  1. does anyone one know what the sora cranks are like are thay ok strong and can you change the chain rings thanks

  2. My bike which came with a Sora group had a Suntours crankset installed by factory, so beware of that - you might not have an original Sora crankset. I'm fairly certain that the chainrings are interchangable between almost any Shimano road cranks.

If it is 'ok strong', I don't really know. The crank arms seem to bend so much that you can see it with your eyes when you apply great force to the arms. Again, my crankset isn't original Sora, but I would guess it's within the same price range.

Sorry if I'm not being too helpful here... :o

  3. yes thay will be original Sora i am buying them to put on a giant boulder with shamio bottom bracket just the crank arms and bottom bracket ,trying to find out what brand rings to put on to

  4. Kev,

Shimano 2200 triple cranks are similar to Sora but use a UN26 square drive bottom bracket. Use TA chairings from Greenspeeed if you need larger rings.

  5. will the 2200 triple cranks go with a c101 derailer

  6. To handle a Road Crankset with a 53 tooth big ring, you will probably need a Flat Bar Front Derailleur, FD-R443A-*, but check the OD of the seat tube on the bike before ordering it, the band types only come in 28.6mm and 31.8mm. Let me know if the diameter is different.
