Hello, Cycling Forum,

The tendons below my kneecaps (i.e. between kneecap and shin) are very sore.

What could this be down to? Saddle too low? Could someone recommend me some stretching exercises before I set off? Should I be doing stretching before some kind of warm-up?

Sorry for all the questions...

What's the board for if not for questions? I am a total convert to stretching, especially as I am an old codger, definitely only stretch once the muscles are well and truly warmed up. If I am doing a 60 mile ride, I will stretch two or three times and also when I get back. Get yourself a good book on stretching or do some research on the web and make it part of your regime. Has certainly helped me

Thanks, vitiris! Found a website devoted to stretching for cycling quite easily.

I wonder - do muscles that have been in a hot bath count as warm? Or do you actually have to do light exercise to warm them up?
