Using Phil Wood hub specifications for 32H, 3x, 120mm fix/fw low flange track hubs (incl. front) http://www.philwood.com/techmanual/plowflangetrackhubs.htm and 1) Rinard's spreadsheet and Wheelsmith spoke calculator , I came up with 294.4 and 294.9mm spokes for rear and front, respectivley. I used both 603 and 605mm for the Open Pro ERD. These spokes are too long, still noodly and out of threads, as reported by the builder.
Using United Bicycle Institute's Spoke length calculator http://www.bikeschool.com/spokes/index.cgi I get 293mm. This is what Phil Wood suggests. Haven't seen if it works yet.
i ordered wheel parts from harris and received the wrong length spokes from what is a not unusual setup. before this i found variable results from spoke calcs for a similar setup but with 27" not 700c rims: the LBS compouyter gave correct results... but this time the LBS failed!!? i have a furniture 2x4 with center hole and two(on the 2x) shims to dish the wheel as spokes go on so i know what's going to work or not. The DT calculator spit out the correct lengths but not consistently - maybe 2 out of 5 ... so if lengths are chosen in groups of eight - using the dishing tool for correct support - lengths that bracket what appears top be a correct length then you proceed to a build stage

2mm is fairly insignificant if the spokes are still quite loose. Did the builder assemble the wheels 3-cross as specified? I've goofed and laced wheels 2X instead of 3X and rapidly ran out of threads. It's one of those "D'oh!" moments when you figure out what's happening.
2mm is the bracket's inside boundry ifn spokes go on but will clearly bottom out when the builder begins tightening spokes
Yah, you betcha-
But I wouldn't describe the spoke as "noodly" when I ran out of ththreads if the spoke were 2mm too long. At that point I'd expect there to be a *little* tension.
