SRAM PG-970 vs. 950 cassette ??

What is the difference between the SRAM PG-970 Road Cassette and the 950? SRAM's website doesn't say.

It's just the finish plating on the links (and corresponding prices):

950 - Gray plated inner and outer links
970 - Gray plated inner and nickel plated inner links
990 - Nickel plated inner and outer links

Don't ask me what "gray plated" means. And, the bigger the model #, the higher the price.

I think the inquiry was in regards to the cassettes, not chain. There is a slight difference in weight (15-50g depending on corresponding cogsets) between the two levels.
