So i recently bought a sram rival package and just set it up. After initial tuning and indexing it wont jump into the smallest cog. Anybody had this problem before and eventually know a fix i would be super happy. What should i eventualy try and troubleshoot?

sounds like your cable tension and/or adjustment screws may be out of whack. I would double check that.
Turn the barrel adjuster all the way in, check if the gear goes in or overshoots.
If it doesn't, and the cable goes slack, you have a limit screw set wrong.
If it doesn't, and the cable stays tight, most probably you didn't have the shifter in the right gear when you hooked the cable up.
Unclamp cable, set first position by limit screw, make sure shifter have released all cable, clamp cable and tune again.
