Stainless Chain: Worth it?

Oh, and another question:

How about teflon coated chains? It would seem to me that the teflon would wear off quickly, but I assume that's not the case or they wouldn't sell them...

Duno. I have no issues with DA, campy or sram, and not necessarily the expensive ones either. But I'm not a sponsered pro.

Another case of marketing hype...

I don't really see the point of spending more oney for stainless chains...Unless you leave your bike all the time exposed to rain and snow, I wouldn't see why it would rust. Keeping a chain is good condition is not such a tough task...

IMHO riding in the rain does shorten chain life, but not do to rust-- it's the road grime grinding wear that is what you have to worry about.

Personally, I say buy the cheaper chain and take care of it.
