    Question: What pedals LAST LONGEST and grind reasonably well

    - Plastic
    - Aluminium
    - Steel
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    People have so many opinions of what type and how good they are heres
    some examples

    Plastic-
    1. the break after a week
    2. my lasted a year
    3. there slippery

    Aluminium-
    1. they have good grip
    2. plastic are better

    Steel-
    no one has said much about steel

    And put a cutting board under the pedal...
    nah... too bulky i prefer just pedals which one should i get?
    Im learning street and i dont know what pedals to grind with. i want
    them to *last long* and grind reasonably well.

    oh yer and what should i practive grinding on first? a bench or steel
    rail?

    just get some like steel bmx pedals, it'll work fine. The bmx have the
    pins in them of course, which makes them non slippery to your feet, but
    can grind well enough.

    bmx pedals are typically made of aluminum or magnesium, the only steel
    pedals I know of are syncros mental stainless steel pedals. Get
    aluminum for grinding, theyre heavier than magnesium but they won't
    break easily (depending on the pedal)

    A low steel bench/ ledge would be nice, if you can find one.

    uh...plastic don't break after a week? Unless you buy some really cheap
    ones and you go big street...My DX style plastic pedal lasted the hole
    summer until today ...(🙁).
