does anybody know where i can get hold of a softride 22.2 mm suspension stem or equivalent (new or used) in the UK. I have tried Ebay with no joy and Ebay in the states, the only ones i have found the correct size will only post to usa addresses.

I may have mislead you there.
Is it a suspension seat post in 22.2 that you are looking for, or a 22.2 stem?? 😕

It is a 22.2 stem for a 1" threaded fork on a road bike. I have aquired an old road bike which i am converting into a hybrid for commuting. I have been using a mountain bike with full suspension and i find the road bike far to rigid and causing havoc on my wrists and elbows !

Many thanks for that. It is a bit on the expensive side and I will also need a quill adapter to go from 1" to 1 1/8".
