Are you aware of the fact that there are 31 days to Dec. 4. Which limit
counts? 30 days or Dec. 4.

If you can't think of anything better to do than post on the net and
ride bikes on your honeymoon, save the 25 bucks and get some
professional help. =] Go on. Get outa here!

I fly in and out of this newsgroup like a witch on her broom. I never
read anything about the honeymoon. My honeymoon was an overnight at a
Howard Johnson Motel about 5 minutes away from our crummy apartment.
Yes, I was poor once. I had just turned 20 years old when I got
married. Didn't need to make big decisions about going to the
Caribbean or not......all I had to do was think about where we were
going to get the money for the motel room. Stayed overnight, did what
most young married couples do in a motel ;-) and was back at work on
Monday. But life was sweet. We were young, we were happy, we were
stupid, and all we needed after we got married was a bed. We didn't
have a bed in the apartment yet. In fact we didn't have any furniture.
We could not afford [censored]. I did have a mother in law in the apartment
downstairs and two cats. Now I have a house, cars, a 401k and life is
not as sweet. How did that happen? I think life beat me up a little
too much....and made me this insane, bitter woman who spends too much
money on shoes and purses and whines when she doesn't get EVERYTHING
she wants or is taken outdoors to mountain bike and camp and pee in the
    woods. ;-)
I wonder if that is because I live in Jersey....(See Mountain bike
post) Ummmmm could be.....We Jersey women are a strange and
complicated breed. We never leave the state.... ;-)

Does Jersey somehow cause you to be strange and complicated, or
is it because strange and complicated women are drawn to Jersey?

This is an excellent question. Let me ponder it awhile. I am sure I
can write a dissertation for you. Be on the lookout for it. ;-)

I will, but you may first want to run it by your state's visitors
bureau. They may wish to quote it for promotional materials, or
maybe censor any findings that would reflect poorly on your fine
    state and its lovely ladies.

Your possible translations 4 and 5 sound a lot like my possible
translations 2 and 3. Your possible translation 6 however never even
occurred to me. It's devious and evil. Congratulations. <g>

I went to the Jersey Shore over the weekend, pondered your question and
realized there is no one answer to your question. But here is a cute
story with a very true quote from the husband of a Jersey Girl....It
    was in a sports column.

The wife of Astros second baseman Craig Biggio was smacked by a male
fan who cut and run. Biggio's wife chased him down and the assailant
    was caught.

Biggio told the Houston Chronicle that his wife is fine and quipped:

"You don't slap a Jersey girl and get away with it."

    Maggie....

  15. OK, I basically took a fast from all Internet posting because I was
simply wasting time. Asking this group about my honeymoon made me
realize that the energy I put into posts, replies, and discussions
weren't doing anything for me. They weren't even investments in
    knowledge.

The same day I spent ten minutes reading those stupid Mojo posts about
his highracer-hatin' blog, I read an article by a guy named Steve
Pavlina. His self-development stuff shows up on blogdex every couple of
weeks because it's very well written.

Anyway, here is his article on online forum usage:
    http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/effective-online-forum-usage.htm

Halfway through I realized I shouldn't be wasting any more time here. I
followed the advice of that dude and took a 30-day fast from online
forums. (Note I am not saying you're wasting your time - how you spend
your day is not my business.)

I continued to read RBM, but didn't post. And a week into it, I noticed
I really didn't need so much Internet time overall. Even legitimate
usage dropped off. And I don't miss it a bit.

But ya'll have given me some good bike info over the past 2 years and I
owed you an explanation after the 30-day fast was over. No, heh heh, my
wife didn't have anything to do with it.

    Be seeing you!

Hey you know you are absolutely right. I spent 39 days on the road, on
the bike. With ZERO internet. And I really didn't miss it much either. I
did text message updates to my journal and that was the only tech heavy
    thing I did.
