    Actually, I am not new to this group, just haven't posted for a while.

    By "reader" I am referring to the client program, often referred to as a
    newsgroup reader. In this specific case, I have switched to Mozzila's
    Thunderbird, a combination e-mail and newsgroup program, and, obviously,
    it it working fine.

    Yes, that is what I should have done, and will do in the future if the
    need presents itself.

    Interestingly, more people read this and received some pleasure in being
    able to express "cute" ideas.
