Maybe if you contribute to this group instead of spamming it, people might
have a look. Come on, start a topic on your "extensive" experiences of
munro bagging! Give a Trip report (TR), test a peice of equipment,
    something!

If all you want to do is spam....then be it on your head....Me, I'll just
    "block sender" you.

Calm dowm - given the amount of spam on these boards the odd "bump" from a
1/2 decent website is not too much of a problem. To use your own remedy -
breath in breath out, read a book, watch some TV and dont be so nasty and
unpleasent. You seem to be of the school of thought that unless you have
done all the munro's then your opinions are not valid - this guy is trying
to have some fun. The world is big enough for the people like him and to be
honest people like you who want just to [censored] all over his atempts. <Looks
for the ignore button for Jhimmy>

Mmm...you mustn't have been in this group when the kids from a Scots college
kept asking stupid questions for their NVQ's over and over again.

What???? Everyone starts from the beginning in everything. I have NOT done
all the Munros, I am NOT an expert or pretend to be. I can only give my own
    personnel experiences.

I have seen good usenet groups decimated because users have allowed others
with no interest what-so-ever do what their want. IMHO, this group is slowly
dying. The few people who contribute is slowly being trolled, spammed or
"rooney'ed". I hope I've contributed to this group, I've been on it over 8
years and been to at least 8 expeditions where I've met many a poster on
here. The last one I drove over 500 miles to attend and only 2 others turned
    up, I didn't mind.

I've contributed less and less over the past few years, not because I've got
less interested, but, maybe because I am old school, maybe I just want to
talk about......walking. Critise all you want, kill file me as well, but
sometime in the future it'll dawn on you - if no one's contributing you'll
    have no-one to talk too.

Such anger in one so young
My friend you really need calm down a tad you are working yourself into an
early grave. It is not your personal responsibilty for the life or death of
this group? There is a wide range of views and abilties both here and in
life. Given the current attitude you are showing I would not drive 500 yards
to meet up with you. Just calm down and let life pass you by a little.

That's strange, I would love to walk up a mountain with Jhimmy. It's a bit
difficult for me but perhaps at a _special_ expedition in the future.

Sadly my isp has recently taken to ignoring Jhimmy (and several others)
so I only see what he says when he is quoted by someone else but I am
with Jhimmy on this one. However good the website in question the author
is a dishonest idiot whose first approach to this newsgroup (and,
according to google, only his second posting to Usenet in 4 years) was
the classic spammers opening of 'I have just found [my own] wonderful
    website'.

He's just voicing the opinions of many. If this group was higher in
traffic or spam I would probably have not bothered to download the
bodies of this thread, this is one of the few groups I read where I
    download the lot.

Have you ever read such sycophantic drivel -"Oh Jhimmy we worship the ground
thou treads upon" yuck I feel sick. You guys deserve each other I bet you
sit in bothies having such a great time moaning and bloody groaning about

This is his second thread promoting his site. He posted 'Munro Websites'
on 3 Nov under a slightly different alias claiming he'd just found his
site which, naturally, was the best.

This is why people were irked:

"In my recent wanderings across the wordwide web I'm come across quite
few new Scottish Munro websites. Some good, some poor, some
indifferent. When of the best examples I have discovered is written by
