Allopathic medicine is based on monomorphism or the germ
theory. Disease is an invasion by an outside force, inury,
metabolic defect or organism. The battle cry is "kill the
germ, burn the germ, cut the germ out." The germ theory has
served as the basis for traditional Western medicine for
over a century and was created by man.
The alternative healing approach is based on plemorphic
theory. Create an environment of balance in the body that
will not support any invading microorganism. The concept of
harmony and balance is a God-given protection that exists
naturally at the time of our birth.
If we consider the success of the germ theory in the "fight"
against cancer, we get a representative picture of the
effectiveness of the narrow view. Cancer is not a localized
disturbance. You do not contract cancer of the elbow, or
toe. When you have cancer diagnosed it is of the whole body.
People constantly have the part removed where the cancer
manifested and have it return elsewhere at a later time. If
you remove the elbow without changing the environment, the
cancer will eventually manifest elsewhere.
We all know (assume) the American Cancer Society exists to
cure cancer. It spends 1 million dollars a day on its
mandate. We have become accustomed to headlines announcing a
"cancer breakthrough". These headlines have been occurring
since 1924 and yet the incidence of cancer has steadily
increased. In 1924 cancer was the 8th leading cause of
death, has now become the second lead cause of death and is
predicted to become the number one leading cause of death in
North America.
It appears the germ theory has failed as an approach to
improve our health.
