It's ALL commendable! What is your idea of strenuous. I am nearly sixty, not
very fit at the moment but I'm still carrying a rucksack in excess of 35
lbs. I am a bit slower than I used to be!

I've just seen your web site. The accommodation looks very nice. My partner
and I are spending a week from 1st September at Alet Les Bains. We are not
walking - just sightseeing!

My partner is not into walking but your web site has given me food for

Alet Les Bains is a very nice spot. We called in there on a sweltering hot
day and the bit by the stream/river was very pleasant. If I recall correctly
it also has a casino ! Do have a good time.

I have a friend with a place near there (Rennes Les Bains). He has a fair
bit of open walking/strolling near him.

We fell in love with the wide open valleys and the views from our place in
Vernet Les Bains. Its also good for walking, whether softies like me or
Canigou conquerers. We have one group of walkers on ther second vist this
autumn plus others making first forays.

Please do keep in touch and tell us about Alet les Bains. (There's some 'Da
Vinci Code' stuff nearby. I'll find the link if you want.).
