  1. I should have known better than to think just because they said they were sending the parts that
they really would, it appears that Hase are producing totally un servicable product, which is sad
because it is a nice trike, they obviously have the attitude that once you have bought the trike
you can go to hell, I have never been so disgusted by the poor attitude of a manufacturer before,
    buyers beware.

  2. Hi Ian,

If you like a delta trike configuration and have the funds. You might want to take a serious look at
    Penninger Trikes at www.penninger.com.

I've had one for a couple of years. When I've had a problem, I've contacted the manufacturer
directly and received great help and responses promptly.

I had no trouble changing a flat tire on mine! (you said totally unservicable). Are you sure there
    wasn't a language translation factor?

  4. Hey Ian, there's a bloke here on the board that has been polishing his skills at diplomatically
complaining about a certain carbon fibre bike builder, perhaps he could write a letter to Kett on
your behalf. He's so suave and tactful I'm sure the missive would get your part(s) hand delivered
right to the door of your flat.

  5. I'll second the comments about Penninger. Charles Penninger is a pleasure to deal with. The Voyager
is rock solid and fun to ride. (If a bit porky). I consider my Voyager my Lincoln Town Car and my
    Trimuter, my Miata.

  6. Ian Warning people here about a company is fine, but it might help more to point out to the company
that a) you are not a happy camper and b) you are letting the bent world know about it and that
Unless their company wants to deal with the damage being done to their reputation....they should
deal with you really fast. Suggest a goodwill gesture on their part might help calm you down IF they
do not think to offer it.

IF all else fails ask Mr.Dolan (who I believe owns one their trikes as well) to act in your place
for all future email correspondence. I suspect if anyone can reduce HASE to a quivering apologetic
mass it will be Mr.Dolan. As a bent community we should all look at asking Mr.Dolan to be our "Hired
Gun"...his writing talents are being wasted here.

    Joshua,

I warned them some time ago that I would do this, and they know from many emails and telephone calls
that I am unimpressed. But they don't see to give a flying fart.

Stop trying to fob me off on others. I am happy right here where I am and I have no intention of
leaving any time soon. But there was a fellow here by the name of Eli who would be ideal for dealing
with Hase. It is true I do have a Kett Wiesel but if something breaks on it and I can't fix it I
will just take it down to the local machine shop and they will rig up something that will more of
less work. I have never gone back to a manufacturer for anything. Once I have gotten a bike it is
mine for better or for worse.

Not sure I don't find that part kind of endearing.

  10. I will also add positive comments about the Voyager. Great ride and Charles is very easy to
    deal with.

  11. Mr. Dolan I was not trying to get rid of you. My suggesting you was because I felt the person who
has run into a stone wall so far needs your help. Having a 2nd party who is detached from the
emotion of the situation will get a better reply. Often the person attacks the company with
great anger and the company recoils with no intention of continuing to deal with this person.
You do deal with people quite effectively, you articulate better than most and you have
excellent communication skills...as a "hired gun" dealing on behalf of people in this bent
community you would shine....and NO I am not sucking up or asking you for a date. You bait
people very well (not as good as I do it of course) and it is interesting to see how many walk
into your traps. I am not suggesting you lay a trap for Hase, but they would probably deal
better with you at this juncture.

I would offer my services to Ian, but after I got through dealing with Hase as Ian's hired gun. Hase
would probably send men around to break both of his legs, the legs of his next of kin, his
    neighbours etc.

I have had more than a few words with Ian myself in the past (I think he has already kill filed me)
and he is more than able to handle any problem that comes his way. I would far rather deal with a
bike shop owner than a bike manufacturer. The latter are often not set up to deal with customer
relations. My communication skills soon break down in the heat of battle (as you have yourself
witnessed already on numerous occasions) and then there would be nil chance of getting any
    satisfaction from the manufacturer.

I would be like Eli - quick to anger. I would only be detached from the emotion of the situation for
a single letter most likely. You have to have the patience of Job when dealing with some of these
small bike manufacturers. I once had occasion to get into it with the manufacturer of the Coos Bay
Flyer, the prototype for the Comfort Cycle and the Penninger. That correspondence went on for over a
year and I resolved never again to repeat that experience. Once around that mulberry bush is enough
    for anyone.

Would not chasing the manufacturer of a Kett Wiesel around a mulberry bush make one a monkey?
