Bloody kids. We used to ride it regularly on road bikes.

Wadda you wanna know?

Caveat, if is a while since I've done it.

Would start from Hornsby Rail Station and ride across the gorge to
drual, then north to Wisemans Ferry, cross the river, then follow the
road into camp at Ten Mile Hollow.

For an easy day and lots of time on the convict parts, camp at the
Caravan Pk at Wiseman's Ferry (still there?). Most of the convict stuff
in on the southern ascent, with isolated parts elsewhere.

From the top, you can drop off downthe early northern route (?) or go
further on and drop of to the south on a NatPk service road the joins
the Wisemans Ferry to spencer Rd.

You could also camp at the Nat Pk campsite along there as well.

the 1:25,000 maps hsould give you all the service roads for the power
pylons on the Northern side of the Hawkesbury River between Wisemans &
Spencer.

From Ten Mile Hollow, there are two otherways out.

East to Mangrove River. I don't know if you can still cross at the
pumping station weir, then climb up the and ride through Central
Mangrove, Somersby & Gosford or other variations e.g Kulnura to Wyong,
or Kulnura through the State forest.

Otherwise, you just follow the road south until it intersects the
Spencer to Central Mangrove Road. north to Gosford/Wyong, etc or south
to Spencer, Gunderman and back to wisemans for a day trip.

Caveat; there was some agro from the locals in the 70's,so I imagine it
is worse since the real farmers sold out to the hobby farmers.

You can also go north from Ten Mile Hollow (at least one convict bridge
and masses of Boronia in season) and eventually collect the St Albans to
Laguna (?) road.

Left and back down the hill to St Albans (let me know if the farm is
still selling stuff at the bottom of the hill), then back to Wisemans
for another day ride.

You can also go right, back tothe sealed road (look up the hill for the
monstrous chook cage), then right/south to Kulnura and Wyong , or right
then left and head up into the Watagans.

Left at the sealed road brings you through Laguna, Wollombi, Cessnock
and then Maitland (depending on route).

Drop in at the Bhuddhist monastery near 10 Mile Hollow. They must get in
there from the Spencer/Mangrove Creek side. Gaybug has a part map on Bikely
at www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Wisemans-Ferry-Gt-Nrth-Rd-by-GayBug. Lots
of washaways Im told, and mtb territory. But egress on the Commission track
in the south is supposed to be OK.
