These are some items culled from the alt.support.tinnitus
archives that give a tiny snapshot of what "doctor" Nagler
sees fit to do to other people. Do a google search yourself
and you can find even more examples.
My point is simply this: If Nagler sees fit to judge others
he should be sure his own conduct is above reproach. It
isn't, so if he were smart he wouldn't go after other people
when he has done worse things of which there is ample
evidence for all to read.
When you encourage Nagler and make him feel important, it
just feeds this behavior of which he has little control. I
strongly suspect he has been told by many friends to seek
professional help because even they know when to distance
themselves from him and his irrational acts.

Mr Yoli,
For a professional fisherman, I am stunned that you are
at the wrong end of the line. Step back for a moment.
You have had the rod and reel in hand. This
Kaufman/Watson character has you taking all the bait
and is desperately trying to set the hook (if I have
the fishing term correct). The issue here is not what
anyone thinks or says. The issue is what might be
questionable conduct of a licensed physician in the
state of Georgia, which you stated you have reported.
Assuming you have done so, they will investigate and
rule on the following points at minimum, all of which
were conducted publicly and are in the archives.
1- A threat against one Mr Conlon regarding contacting the
judge about his successful Social Security Hearing in an
attempt to overturn it. 2- Obtaining an apparently illegally
using Mr Conlon's Social Security number and obtaining his
caseworker's name - also apparently illegally. 3-
Threatening [possible extortion] to follow through against
Mr Conlon unless certain letters of apology were written. 4-
Apparently releasing part of your medical record with the
direct comment to stop going at it with him else more would
be divulged. The comment "and it ain't pretty" is what I
believe was included. 5- Dr Nagler listing himself as an
otolaryngologist on www.calladoctor.net
Those make the top 5. Perhaps others here are familar
with more. But It seems that those 5 issues are plenty
to look into.
So please stop wasting bandwidth with this professional
troll. Here is the data for each of the items above.
Let Mr Troll refute the facts behind all this. Make
your case and live with the results. Obviously, you and
Dr Nagler wish different ones. Also obvious is that
this professional troll has taken you off your game.
If this message is too long to post I will post each
point seperately for you.

Newsgroups: alt.support.tinnitus Subject: What I Intend to
Tell the Judge Date: Fri, 09 Mar 2001 06:15:46 GMT
I have just received the following e-mail from Steve Conlon.
As you can see from the first lines, Mr. Conlon will not
read my response, but you all will.
In the e-mail from Steve you will read that in Jack Vernon's
opinion, Steve Conlon's tinnitus is "so severe and
incapacitating as to justify any consideration you [the
court] can afford him." I will not argue with Jack. He's
entitled to his opinion. What I will tell the Administrative
Law Judge next week is the absolute truth:
#1 Jack Vernon never examined Steve Conlon; rather he
#relied upon the
findings of somebdy else who - based upon those same
findings - did not offer a letter in support of Steve's
disability application.
#2 In view of the absence of any tinnitus reliability
#testing, I (as
a Doctor of Medicine) could not draw the same conclusion as
Jack Vernon (a psychologist) did.
#3 In support of #2 above, I will offer as an exhibit weeks
#and weeks
of public Internet postings by Steve Conlon, demonstrating
focused attention (when motivated) for several hours at a
time over several consecutive days. Based upon that
evidence, I will challenge the vocational rehab expert
assigned to the case to explain why Mr. Conlon could not
participate in "Significant Gainful Employment" according to
at least one accepted definition of that concept.
#4 I will point out to the judge that Mr. Conlon has
#threatened me
and has stated he will "stop at nothing" to stop me. I will
point out to the judge that if Mr. Conlon had decided to get
a job instead of "stopping at nothing" that none of this
would be happening in the first place.
#5 I will point out to the judge that I, as well as
#every single
taxpayer, pays into the system that will be henceforth
paying a weekly check to this man with ABILITY that he
CHOOSES not to use, in addition to whatever DISability he
might have. I will explain that my disgust as a US taxpayer
is the basis for my request for re-assessment of the case.
#6 Finally, I will point out that Mr. Conlon in some
#five years of
"suffering" with tinnitus (already receiving disability
checks for a few years from one carrier based upon his
tinnitus) has never made an appointment at the universally
respected University tinnitus center (NON-TRT) that Dr.
Vernon himsef founded to see if he might find an avenue
towards relief and return to the workforce. I will point out
that while Mr. Conlon did not choose to travel to Oregon, he
did choose to take several vacations to the Carolina coast.
#7 I will tell the judge that as an American and as a
#taxpayer I will
certainly respct the judge's decision upon his reassessment
of the case, but that I felt it my obligation as a taxpayer
to supply some additional information that might not have
been available to the judge at the time of his initial
evaluation.
Steve, in case you do happen to be reading this post, you
have publicly maligned and viciously slandered me. You have
called me a LIAR, but I do not lie. You have publicly called
me a schizophrenic psychotic [censored] shill who should not be
treating tinnitus patients. You have threatened me. And
THEN, you went outside this newsgroup and wrote two highly
inflammatory letters about me to the American Tinnitus
Association (the not-for-profit orgnization whose Board I am
honored to Chair) ... and one highly inflammatory letter to
my closest friend in the tinnitus community, Dr. Jack
Vernon. Steve, you have taken our differences outside of
this newsgroup ... and now I shall do the same.

Steve said:Question: Am I to take it that if I meet conditions #1, #2,
and #3, and apologize by note to Jack Vernon and the ATA,
and reconsider treatment, then our business is finished and
you will not meddle in my life by contacting anyone
regarding my SS Disability claim? A simple "Yes" or "No"
will suffice. Then I will open my e-mail to discussion.
.........
Yes.
You need only "reconsider" treatment. You do not need to
actually make an appointment at a University tinnitus clinic
like OHRC, UMD, or Emory. You need only seriously consider
what might be gained.
In fact, I'll even go one better, Steve.
You do not even have to open your e-mail for discussion
(unless you want to). You can just e-mail me that you agree
to the terms and at the same time copy me with the e-mails
you send to the ATA and Jack Vernon. That's how anxious I am
to put this to an end.
That way you will never receive an e-mail from me unless
YOU wish to solicit MY opinion about something, in which
case you will have to open your e-mail to me to receive
my response.
And after right now, you will never see me address you or
refer to you in an ast post unless YOU address a question to
me having to do with tinnitus, treatment, and relief.
And I will not contact anyone regarding your SS Disability
Claim, nor sue you for libel for past indiscretions, nor
offer any unsolicited advice, nor interefere in your life
in any way.
The short answer to your question, however, is Yes.

To Any of Steve Conlon's Friends -
Please forward the following open message posted on the
alt.support.tinnitus newsgroup to Steve Conlon -
.............
Steve -
I have decided not to contact the Administrative Law Judge
who handled your Social Security disability case.
I have decided not to contact the Social Security
representative assigned to your case at the Woodbridge
NJ Social Security office, even though I have her name,
your social security number, your date of birth, and
your home address.
I would still be very appreciative if you would write a
letter to the ATA and to Jack Vernon apologizing for writing
to them and bringing them into an Internet newsgroup
argument - heated though it was - that should have remained
confined to the Internet newsgroup. But I will leave it up
to you and your conscience as to whether or not you do so.
I still believe that you should strongly consider going to
OHRC (non-TRT) or University of Maryland (TRT) for
evaluation and possible treatment - not to cure your
tinnitus, but to afford you some meaningful relief.
Should you decide to return to the alt.support.tinnitus
newsgroup or any other Internet tinnitus sites now or in the
future, you will have no trouble from me ... provided you do
not send any personal barbs my way. If you choose to post
publicly about disability, however, I will feel free to
**respectfully** challenge the concept that having a
DISability - however severe it might be - means that one
should not make the best of every opportunity to take
advantage of any ABILITIES that remain. In fact, I feel it
almost incumbent upon a person who is DISabled (as well as a
person who is not DISabled) to make the best of his or her
ABILITIES.
Steve, I hope you will accept this post, which I have asked
be forwarded to you, as a sincere offer of good will.

My offer is a NO LOSE offer to Steve. He need not retract
anything he has said about me. He need only apologize to the
ATA and Jack Vernon for taking newsgroup squabble public.
And he need agree to CONSIDER getting tinnitus treatment.
You call it extortion. I call it a fair resolution. Steve
can still sue me for emtional distress if he desires. But I
agree not to contact the Administrative Law Judge and
present him with the incontrovertable evidence that Steve
can function in focused concentration for several hours at a
time and for several days in succession. Looks to me like a
very fair resolution indeed.

...........
Sandy -
This now becomes awkward - as if it weren't already.
Mr. Yoli says he received no "counseling" from me. His chart
in my office - including one two-day visit, a subsequent
one-day visit, and five telephone follow-up sessions -
is some 60 pages long. SIXTY PAGES!!! And ten of those
pages - single spaced in Word format - deal specifically
with the evaluation and individualized directive
counseling Mr. Yoli received from me between 12/17/97
and 1/15/99, after which Mr. Yoli felt he no longer
needed to be in touch with me, having effectively
habituated his tinnitus.
Now I will NOT reveal the content of that chart on this
board, for it is nobody's business but Mr. Yoli's. But a
copy of the chart is on its way to him as per his request.
And if Mr. Yoli chooses to make it the business of this
board and starts posting passages from it here on ast, then
he can be sure I will return the favor - it's all on disk.
Very easy to do. And believe me - it ain't pretty. No
directive counseling, Mr. Yoli? Please.

Nothing else matters, Mr Yoli. So please just await the
results you claim will be found. Bringing yourself into the
domain of a professional troll is just feeding his weak
needs and his poor ego. You take boats hundreds of miles
offshore. He bathes with his rubber ducky. We know who has
more nerve. So just ignore him and he'll go away, again.
