it's a great read, although I enjoyed slaying the badger more. Get the current edition of cycle sport to read about fignon as well .The stories of his Milan sanremo wins in his autobiography are ace.

I read an interview with guimard talking about Andy Schleck. He said Schleck had the potential to be great, maybe as great as the three great talents he'd managed in his career. Hinault, Fignon and Lemond. Then he said 'no, the badger was on another level'.

Hinault is a peasant, but he's a leader of men too. I like how when he says something he doesn't ever qualify it. It just is. And if you disagree he'll [censored] smash you.

Awwww. Sorry all. Poor bugger did it tough since his glory days. As did the Easybeats' bass player who I was mates with up in Lismore. They must have partied VERY hard there for a while.
I remember doing the same thing to Michael Hutchence. Playing along on my sax to INXSive in the passenger seat with a mate driving up to Brissie one night many years ago. Killed him dead.

How was the turkey? Did you toothpick bacon rashers over the breast meat so it didn't dry out? That's the best trick I ever learnt from my poultry farming father, apart from how to catch and kill and process the buggers. Actually that was all good learning, from raising one day olds to the table, and everything in between.
