Sounds cool. I did some backcountry rides in new zealand on the geared

Depends a lot on what your ultimate tour is doesn't it. If you're more
of a muni person than a road person it would certainly suck a lot less
on the tech stuff than a 29er yet let you do the boring stuff in
between at acceptable speed. I know i've done 40 miles at a time on the
26 because i didn't want to compromise, it'd be great to be able to
tour long distances and still ride all the good bits.

Here is the rack that I bought. I have a picture of just the rack
attached to the seat post. I may attach it to the frame so that I can
fit a sleeping bag on top closer to the unicycle.

The second image is of the rack with the bag that you can buy to put on
top of it. It goes on quite nice.

The Third image is of a sleeping bag strapped below the rack, just for
testing purposes. As I said, I could get the sleeping bag attached on
top of the rack if I moved it down and clamped it onto the frame.

I added about 5-6 pounds to the rack with the bag on and it didn't seem
all that bad. You feel it a little, and you only really notice it when
going downhill or when trying to turn. It beats having bulk/weight on
your back for a long time though probably. I still have some playing
around to do with the set up.

For anyone still interested in this thread. I used the rack on my new
Nightrider and used a bungee cord to hold a tarp, lightweight towel and
sleeping bag. It was not that noticeable on my short 2 day 1 night
ride I did, and getting that bulk/weight off the back definitely
helps.
