Can someone please explain why Zwifts dynamic pacing is still so ridiculously broken, and why its still prioritizing ego-tripping roadies who think theyre the next Froome over actual, real-world pacing strategies. I mean, whats the point of even having a dynamic pacing system if its just going to encourage people to ride like theyre in a TT and ignore all the intricacies of actual group riding.
Ive seen so many riders get to the front of a group and just mash the pedals like theyre in a solo effort, completely ignoring the fact that theyre supposed to be working with the rest of the group to maintain a steady pace. And then they get upset when they get dropped because they cant sustain their ridiculous pace.
And dont even get me started on the way Zwifts algorithm favors riders who are willing to push themselves to the brink of exhaustion just to stay at the front of the pack. Is that really what Zwift is trying to encourage? Burnout and exhaustion?
So, can someone please enlighten me on how to use Zwifts dynamic pacing in a way that actually simulates real-world group riding, rather than just being a mindless sprint fest. And please, for the love of all things cycling, dont tell me to just ride harder or try to keep up. Im looking for actual, constructive advice on how to use this feature in a way thats both realistic and beneficial to my training.
