thanks for the advice, illl just leave it then. the holes are definitely not made by glass as they are perfectly round.

As Ilks mentioned the holes in the GP4000's are the tread wear indicators.
When you don't see them any more, its time to get new tires.
For other cuts and holes I just use some sort of epoxy like Selleys Araldite
quick drying, I put the glue in the cuts when the tire is full of air, then I let the air out which tightly closes the cuts and lets the glue bond perfectly, remove the access glue, let dry for 24hrs, refill and ride again.
