There's no shame in being the opening act. Personally, I'd rather be
middle in a bill of three. We've only had two occasions where a band
followed us, neither were very good orders of appearance.

I had little interest in much he did after the 60s.
My wife had a copy of Blood on the Tracks. I almost never played it.

Me too, and it's a nice surprise to find someone living so far and listening
at something so close to me. If you like Paolo Conte, maybe you'd also like
Fred Buscaglione, he's from some years before but they have got many points
in common, expecially theyr way to sing. The music, well, that's different
but not so far.

Thanks a million, Vilco. No, I'd never heard of Fred, but I got a lot
of hits on YouTube of his music/songs and a preview of a movie or
two. I had a good time/fun listening and watching him. I sure can
see a similiarty to Conte. Too bad he had to die so young.

In 2002, Martin Scorsese made a 4 hour movie, "Voyage to Italy"

about all the Italian movies he loved when he was growing up. Voyage
to Italy got very good reviews. I believe I had seen all of the ones
that he reviewed in his film. I'm a lover of Italian films as well.
