Saw the new jersey on the website. Looks pretty good, nice to have something unique to Australia

Organisers of the Tour Down Under in Adelaide have scrapped the
traditional yellow for the leader's jersey, switching to ochre.

They say the new colour has more traditional links with Australia.

In launching next year's event, South Australian Tourism Minister Jane
Lomax Smith admitted some cycling purists could be unhappy with the
break in tradition, but said it would help promote the race
internationally.

IT's got to be better than having an Elvis impersonator singing
at the start of the last stage. 2004 ... -very- odd.

Varies from deep brown through tropical brown (also known as baby [censored]
brown) to various reds/oranges all the way through to white. Just types
of inclusions in sedimentary rocks really.

I can't actually say I've seen ochre in the shade of orange that they're
using but it doesn't look too bad. Kind of a Maillot Juene covered in
bulldust. Sort of fitting really.
