I wasn't suggesting 'upgrading' to carbon forks, just letting
on some weight estimates. Steel is real!

Giggle, your LBS must be a bunch of road weenies or something. Seriously, its a terrible idea for touring.

Leave the *bling* for cafe racers. The spendy carbon wrap will be ground off like paint touring. So very non-durable.
